About me

I am a Software Engineer at NetApp specialized in Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps. My engineering philosophy is built on a "production-first" mindset—designing, deploying, and scaling systems so they remain highly reliable and resilient under real-world pressure.

My career began in the high-frequency environment of firms like Goldman Sachs, and over the last four years at NetApp, I've focused on taking complex cloud infrastructure products from inception to enterprise scale.

What I do

  • Cloud Architecture & Lifecycle: Contributed extensively to the core architecture of Astra Control and steered ANF Elastic ZRS through its entire engineering lifecycle—from its initial private preview to its public launch.
  • AI Engineering & Agentic Systems: I am deeply invested in the intersection of cloud infrastructure and NLP. I build production-grade agentic workflows—developing AI systems designed to execute complex, autonomous tasks rather than just generating text.

I consider myself a lifelong student of system design, a dedicated collaborator, and an engineer focused on the next major shifts in distributed infrastructure.

Software Engineer 2 · NetApp

Bellevue, WA · June 2022 – Present

  • Developed workflows for upgrade and rollback of our product to ensure that the difference between the two versions is within a 2-month window.
  • Re-engineered Kubernetes manifests utilizing initContainers, emptyDir, and volumeMounts to eliminate dependencies on external third-party images, making the production system more resilient and reliable.
  • Removed affinity rules from nodes, reducing RTO for upgrade of storage pools by ~10 seconds.
  • Developed a script that checks backward compatibility of GCNV internal APIs to prevent incompatible API modifications from being merged into production without review.
  • Developed workflows to dynamically expand and contract capacity pools during backup of apps with Azure NetApp Files (ANF) in Astra, saving customers hundreds of dollars.
  • Developed solutions to gather cluster-scoped resources when managing apps in Astra.

  • Developed RESTful services in the Spring framework to implement and enhance payment and journal workflows on a payment management platform.
  • Developed scripts to automate operational steps, saving about 30 employee hours per week.
